Q: How can I keep up-to-date on book releases, reviews, and other news?
A: The best ways for you to stay current with my book news are:
— My mailing list: I always tell you about book sales & new releases and I’m open, friendly, chatty. There’s a signup form on every page of my website, or you can go through this link to join. You can unsubscribe at any time and I would never sell your address.
— BookBub: You don’t have time for chat, you simply want a brief notice about new releases. BookBub gives you just that!
Q: How did you get into writing?
A: Unemployment was a great motivator. I lost my part-time job, and with no future prospects and nothing to lose I jumped feet-first into the world of self-publishing. It helped that I’d written some fanfiction stories several years prior that inspired me to try my hand (and fingers) at writing.
Q: In what romance genres do you write?
A: I currently write in the paranormal and fantasy, with some comedy thrown into the blender.
Former categories I wrote in: erotica, urban (now very rarely)
Q: Do you write only serials?
A: Currently most of my written works are novella to novel-length series with a few stand-alone novels within series.
Q: Are there any plans for a sequel to my favorite series?
A: Like a distracted, sugar-crazed squirrel, my fickle imagination does tend to shove the older series away when a sexy new idea wanders in. So more often than not, if I don’t write a sequel directly after a series is finished then it’s probably not going to happen.
Q: Where do you get your ideas?
A: The world around me is a constant source of inspiration. I also read quite a bit, and I love movies and TV shows. Many of my plots are inspired by the romance movies of the 1980s (think Romancing the Stone and Crocodile Dundee). The books are a little more archaic, such as Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice.
Then there are the dreams. Strange, vivid dreams of sexy knights in shining armor who sweep me off my feet. Those help.
Q: Can I get a list of your book series?
A: Sure thing! Just head on over to the Printable Book List page and download your copy. Don’t forget to come back in the future to get the latest version!
Q: Why aren’t some of your box sets available at my favorite online retailer?
A: One simple word: math. The many ebook sellers on which I publish have a lot of different rules, some of which keep me from publishing certain ebooks there. Amazon’s return policy means there will be no new box sets published on that retailer for the foreseeable future.
