A simple country woman in Scotland is stolen away from the manor of her laird and settled in the company of a new master, a laird of the city of Edinburgh. City life and country manners clash as she struggles to understand the people, her mate, and herself. Her only solace are the heated nights where her master becomes a lustful beast intent on making her his and his alone.
