Busted Romance

I wish the title of this email was about a new series or book I’m writing, but unfortunately it’s about my life, and since it’s affecting my writing I feel I owe you guys an apology and an explanation.

Last August my spouse announced he wanted a divorce. This was a long time in coming, but still devastating to me. He’s now demanding half of my royalties for as long as the books are published, along with pets and threatening alimony, I being the bread-winner during most of the marriage.

Unfortunately, this puts my current projects in a bind. My attorney and I are trying to buy him off, but his demands are rather expensive. I have options, but right now none of them can include working on my current series. Fortunately, I may be able to create new series, and, if my attorney confirms that, then I’ll have some new books out for you guys soon.

I’m sorry my stories are being dragged through this, and I’m more sorry that you guys are having to wait so long for my next update. I hope to make it up to you soon, and with some gifts for your wonderful patience!

Keep on reading, even if it isn’t my books!

Much affection, Mac

  1. May God be your shield and fight your battles. Nothing lasts forever. You’ll soon look back on this situation and smile that it made you even stronger. My heart and prayers are with you Mac.

  2. I am so sorry you are going through a very tough period in your life. I pray it goes well for you when all is settled. Divorce is heartbreaking enough to go through with but when it entails so much unfairness it makes it so much worse. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for all the wonderful books I’ve read and will read in the future.
