Apology, explanation, and thank-you

As you can tell I’m terrible at blogging, but I feel I need to apologize, explain, and pass a thank-you on to you, my readers. I’m sure many of you have noticed the long delay (sometimes as many as three weeks to several months) between serial and series installments. I sincerely apologize for the delay in finishing some of my series, and I’m grateful for the continuing interest and patience many of you have shown. The reason for my erratic publishing is that for the last three months I was caring for one of my cats (I have many, and yes, I am crazy). Her nasal passage had become blocked, and she had trouble breathing. A month ago something started to grow inside the right side of her face. Last Friday, September 5th, we were informed that it was cancer. It had already taken her right eye, and on Monday, September 8th, I made the difficult decision to put her to sleep. Now for the thank you. Without your support I would never have been able to spend as much time (and money) on my precious little kitty. I want to thank you guys for being there for me (even if only in spirit and wallet), and for giving me the opportunity to care for my kitty. Missy-Cat was a great cat to know, and an even harder one to say goodbye to. Thank you so much, and I promise I’ll be back to writing soon (and I’ll even finish some of those unfinished series!).

  1. Just wanted to say how very sorry I am to hear about the loss of your cat. As an animal lover I totally understand how they become family. I also want to say that I absolutely love your sense of humor in your books. I’m so drawn into them then all of a sudden I burst out laughing like a crazy woman. My fiancé thinks I’ve lost it but I really need those laughs. Your books are wonderful to read and yes they are steamy but also have a lot of substance. Keep up the awesome work. And don’t worry about not blogging or posting more often when you have family things going on. We will keep reading your books no matter what. Hope you have an awesome weekend. From one of your new fans. 🙂

  2. Hi Mac. I just wanted to send my condolences about your pet. I think God sometimes calls the special ones from down here to be his side companions and guardians. I said a prayer for you and your baby. It touched my heart. It made me cry to know that a beautiful thing from this world could be so sick as most beautiful things are. God bless you.
    Rhonda.

  3. Hi Mac,

I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty. :'(

I hope that the wonderful memories of your time with her, help you to heal from her loss. It’s so hard to lose a loving and beautiful companion. They make life worth living and offer unconditional love. My heart aches for you. Continue your writing when you are able and take care of you first.

    Many blessings,

  5. I am most sorry for your loss. Our pets truly become our best friends and comfort us when needed. I lost by husband and best friend to cancer four years ago. Since then my two shihtzus and I have grown even closer. I could not imagine them getting cancer and having to do what you did. However, you made the decision that was right for her….
